Winnie The Pooh

Winnie The Pooh

With the window blowing and seasonal demands,
and the scattering of leaves caught in the still green grass...
I thought of "Winnie de Pooh" and me holding hands.

A thin book for children written when I was a child,
A. A. Milne must be not read only computer games the style,
are cute arrows reciprocal killings in movie lobbies worthwhile?

I probably once turned the pages, but never read the contents,
remembering flipping the pamphlet of dirty sequenced actions...
hidden from view beneath the desktop, did you do that too?

Winnie's characters were not what for pre teenagers to view,
Piglets and delicate wrought subjects were for good kids to do,
instead we investigated the National Geographic, what about you?

Now time is a gipsy and tic tocks have won, and repeated wars
boring, they're for the generation of those who are dumb...
maybe somewhere the charm of Winnie should be redone?
