Likeable Felines

Sassy

Sassy

Humankind's imperfections: avarice, egomania, malicious lying,
the stuff of being not likeable: pomposity, the killings never justified,
plain simple superiority, the demanding exclusivity of one religion,
patriotic ravings, trust in one political denouement for the world...
that's a demagogue's excuse, fallacious positions that don't belong.

My cat has no preconceptions, judges instinctively right from wrong,
instinctually a hunter, her meow often a demanding call, her purr
a satisfaction - I understand from scientists, many unknown songs.
She offers companionship, an insoluble changing disposition...
the position of her body, face, principally the slithering of her tail

Watch her carefully her actions are tamed and wild, multi combinations;
be conscious of her acceptance and how she leaps then softly falls...
cats are mysterious and onerous, for some of us a mixed challenge.
When happy in a household she stays about in relaxed contentment,
we live with her in sharing, mostly likeable - hope her stay is long.
