10th August 1983 - 24th July 2003
Today I gave something to heaven
that heaven had once given me.
My precious, old faithful companion,
my wounded old veteran, "Mubsy".
Such a gentle, affectionate creature
who for the last year or so couldn't see.
When age took its toll on his body,
Was crying to be set free.
And as his soul floated back up to heaven
my heart felt a burning inside.
But I knew he would be on an angels knees
Breathing a blissful sigh.
