Missing - Can you help?
2003
Update 23rd January 2004: McGuyver has been recovered! We had many, many phone calls from people sighting him or similar cats in the area, but tonight we had a neighbour phone to say he was sitting in her driveway. We captured him and I brought him home. Now he is suffering from hiccups from wolfing down three portions of food! Thank you for placing the missing advert on your site.

Lost 10:15am Christmas Eve, 24th December 2003, from Beeston, Nottingham, UK. McGuyver is a one to two year old black-and-white DSH neutered tom, no collar, chipped. Very smooth coat (tuna monster), white face, chest, legs and paws, continuing round back of neck; black back, tail and top of head. We've only moved into this house for a week, so had been keeping him inside, and he escaped from a leash in the back garden. He doesn't know this area, but might try to make his way back to the previous house in Beeston (about 1 1/2 miles). Please e-mail James if you know where McGuyver is.

Update 6th September 2003: "Good news about my cat Biter. He was found by the staff of a restaurant in Kidlington (4+ miles from home across several main roads & motorways!) who had been feeding him for several days. He's safe, sound, very hungry still, and very happy to be back with his family. Meanwhile however, I was contacted by the staff at Spencer Court (an old people's residence) in Union Street in Woodstock, Oxon - they thought that the cat they've been feeding for several weeks might be mine - it wasn't, but he's clearly a homeless cat. All black, quite big, but very thin from neglect now. If anyone else has lost a black cat around that area, please contact them." - Katherine
2nd September - 'Biter' missing since the 15th of August from the Woodstock Oxon area. He is black, 2 years old, no collar but microchipped, very long legs and tail, and he is missed by all desperately. Please ring Katherine on *****-****** (UK) if you have any information about Biter. Thank you.
Update 14th August 2003: "Yish made it back to my mom's home, nearly 4 miles away!" - John

My cat, Yishy (Yi-shara full name) is 7 years old, and went missing on Friday the 1st of August.
Yishy was lost in the Sutton Coldfield area of Birmingham (B73 district), I dread to think what would have happened if he goes into the really big Sutton park!
He answers to 'Yish' or 'Yishy' or 'Yish-Bish' but his proper name is Yi-Shara.
He is a male, uneutered tom and is microchipped, markings are white paws, white chest and mouth pink on nose and mouth, with tabby markeings on the body, mostly black, with dashes of brown/grey.
Finally he has tips of hair on his ears, which are a bit different
to other cats I've known.
Any help in locating Yishy much appreciated. Please contact John on telephone number ****-***-***.

Harry is a neutered male cat. Long haired, mainly white with blue-grey patches. Approx. 7/8 years old. He has a blue-grey patch on his head, two or three blue-grey patches on his body and a distinctive blue-grey plumed tail. He is microchipped but is not wearing a collar.
Harry went missing from 34 Headington Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire on Saturday 26th July 2003. He was staying there for the weekend whilst his owners were away. He may try and head to his own home in Bourne End, Bucks (6 miles away), but the River Thames is a rather large barrier to overcome.
If anyone can help in any way whatsoever, please call Sam or Ross on 07768-340413, 01628-850837 or (office hours) 01628-488990.

He is short-haired and has brownie-orange eyes, quite podgy and has a distinguishing brown smudge under his right nostril. He is wearing a black velvet collar with diamante stones on it. Update 20th March 2003: "I just wanted to let you know that Ally has been found and safely returned home (after 4 and a half weeks!). She's very skinny and tired at the moment and follows me absolutely everywhere but seems very happy to be back (very high volume purring) and has a huge appetite (especially for tuna). It seems she just wandered a bit too far as she was found only a couple of minutes from her home!" - Kerry

Ally has been missing since Sunday 16th February 2003. She went out during the night and hasn't been seen since. She's only 1 and is a very fluffy tortoishell with white feet and a white neck and tummy. She has a really bushy tail similar to that of a squirrel!? She was wearing a black collar with a bell and 2 name tags. She's very playful and inquisitive but doesn't like to be stroked too much. She once jumped into our builders van and he almost drove off with her so it's quite possible that this has happened again. She went missing from Highbury in North London (UK). If you have any information about Ally please contact me on telephone number: ****-***-**** - Thank you.

27th January 2003: Pumpkin - answers to "Pummy". Tortoiseshell and white, shorthaired, spayed female, 10 years old. One brown ear, one black ear, brown and white face, black chin. The brown ear inside has dark grey polyps under the skin, not contagious, but therefore looks different from the inside of the black ear. White chest, forelegs and tummy. Shortish, skinny tail. Some small incisor teeth missing. Flea allergy, particularly with skin reaction along the spine from the base of the tail. Usually very friendly (unless frightened) and quite talkative. Very greedy! Not very athletic. Never used to go out of the garden or off the driveway.
Disappeared from North Cadbury on 17th November 2002 without trace - despite very extensive searching of garages, sheds, gardens, hedges, ditches etc, advertising with posters, leaflets and in the press and notifying all local vets, rescue centres. Frustratingly no microchip or collar now. Presumably has been transported out of the area in a vehicle. Any information appreciated, substantial reward offered for safe return.
