Grieving Owner Places Ad For Missing Cat Named Miss Torti

Our missing cat is a female Turkish Van about 5 years old, can't be too precise I'm afraid as she's one of two rescue cats we've had since July. Her name is Celine answers to leeny but very nervous and won't approach strangers especially men. She's large and very fluffy, white, with some red patches on her rear, and some fur missing on the left side of her face and of course she has the distinctive red banded tail, we last saw her on Wednesday 11th December 2002, at approximately 9.30pm when she let herself out of the cat flap. She disappeared in the Orangewood Close, Gonerby Hill Foot area of Grantham, Lincs (UK). Which is residential and not too much traffic, can't see any evidence of a road traffic accident having toured the area.

If you have any information about Celine please contact Richard Lewis:

Update 20th November 2002: "Timba came back at 1.00am this morning quite unfazed. So great relief."

Timba

"Timba our four year old toroiseshell cat. She went missing from her home in the Highgate area of London (UK). She rarely wanders far from home and she has never gone missing before. We are very worried about her."

If anyone has any infornmation or has seen Timba please contact Sue at: *****@***.org - Any help appreciated.

Buzz

"His name is Buzz and he was last seen in the Priorslee area of Telford on 21st October 2002, and is very much missed. He is five years old, neutered and very friendly. He has a medium length coat. Buzz does not wear a collar and is not micro-chipped, he last went missing just over a year ago for two weeks and came back very skinny - so we assumed that he must have been locked in someone's garage/shed while they were away on holiday. We have waited just over two weeks and as he has not returned we are concerned that he may have got himself into a car/delivery van and so could now be anywhere in the UK. If you have seen him or have any information we would be very grateful if you could contact us and let us know. Can be contacted on e-mail address: Dobin1604@aol.com - Any help appreciated."

Update 29th October 2002: Rizla is home, the little explorer came back in the early hours of this morning like nothing had happened.

Rizla  Rizla

Rizla

"Our cat Rizla has gone missing and we are both worried sick. We have searched the area but there is no sign of him. He was last seen on Friday (25th October, 2002), around lunch time in the Heathcote Street area of Radford, Coventry, UK. He is male, black with white markings on his chest and belly and neutered. He was wearing a black collar with white reflective strips and a black bell. He is chipped and the tag should be on the collar. He may be making his way south. He is sorely missed and there is a reward for his safe return." - Jamesy & Davy.

Please e-mail either: James & Davy OR Padraig if you can help.

Update 23rd September 2002: Tommy has come home, safe and sound. He first put in an appearance at 10pm last night (22nd), but got scared by one of the other cats before he could make it through the cat flap. He went to a neighbours garden and was hiding down by one of the sheds. He eventually came home of his own accord at 2.45am this morning (23rd), very hungry but unscathed.

TOMMY - A neutered male black and white cat with a very strong similarity to 'Felix' the black and white cat on the Felix Cat Food Commercials, missing from Hendren Close in North Greenford, Middlesex (UK).

Tommy is a fairly small cat who has recently been nuetered. He is 2 years old and was wearing a bright blue collar. He was last seen during the evening of Wednesday 18th September.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Tommy please telephone Keir on *****-****** (UK).

Update 23rd September 2002: Sadly Stanley was found dead, possibly attacked by two Rottweiller dogs.

Stanley

"Please help to find my lovely 9 month old tabby. His name is Stanley and he was last seen on 15th September, 2002, in the Gateacre area of Liverpool (UK). He is small, friendly and he has a grey collar with a bell. He is also micro-chipped.

Update 30th November 2002: "Bad news I'm afraid. Bamba, our brown Burmese cat was found dead the other day, Friday 10th November 2002 by an anonymous good samaritan and left at a nearby vets for us to collect. He had been run over. Somehow in July 2002 he had been transported away to a nearby town some 10 miles away (he probably got into a caller's car/van). He appeared to be in good condition, well fed etc., but somehow our efforts to retrieve him had failed despite many adverts placed in the local newspapers, notes and photographs pushed through letter-boxes and articles broadcast on local radio programmes. Someone had obviously looked after him but hadn't thought of checking his micro-chip at a vets. Maybe he was too good a cat to return!"

"Only one point... the micro-chip company had got its records corrupted and had updated someone else's details to the database! Clever stuff eh? It might be a good idea to get pet owners to check that their details held by the micro-chip companies are indeed correct! Many thanks for your very kind efforts. Best wishes" - John and Eileen.

Bamba

"Bamba, an 11 year old Brown Burmese cat, has been missing since 9th July 2002 from the Lickey area of South Birmingham/North Worcestershire (UK). We want him back! We believe he hitched a ride in someone's car/van and hope is still alive, being looked after by someone who likes cats. He is micro-chipped, lacks a large front tooth, has a white marking on his chest and carries a metal plate in one leg and a screw in the other. He has a heart murmer... and we want him back! We are offering a large reward for his safe return." - John & Eileen

Update 29th August 2002: "A short note to thank you for having Maggie on your "missing cats" website - he was found this weekend and is now home and content." - Helen
