Another Hartz Story - May 2002
Dawnmarie - Companion to Mary.
"My cat Dawnmarie is a great and loveable cat. I found some fleas on her one day, I went to Wal-Mart and bought some Hartz 2-in-1 Spray and applied it per the instructions. She got really sick and I didn't know why, so I immediatly washed her, and again, and again, it didn't do any good, she quit eating and drinking, I was really scared so I called the vet and took her right in."
"They had to force feed her and put iv's in her to get liquids. I was truely scared, they watched her for awhile. She had a really high temperature of 104. They told me if I would have waited another 5 minutes she would have died - I was devastated, I cried, she is the only thing I have to a child so I did everything I could for her, gave her the medicine they gave me to give her and kept taking her back to be check. They did a complete blood count and it showed a reaction to the product. I was upset that a harmfull product such as Hartz could still be on the market, finally after a few months she is getting better but still has bad days. I thank god that she is with me today, I am sorry for the people who were not so fortunate to keep their animals, my heart goes out them them in their time of loss over their pet animal."
