Working With People To Help Animals
Friends of the animals began in March 1990 in the West Midlands; the objective of the Charity is to help animals NOW, we do not 'sit on funds'. We operate a policy of non-destruction, and our four branches help: dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, foxes, hedgehogs, other wildlife, and to this end have had many thousands of animals spayed / neutered. Thousands more have been wormed and inoculated - many for the first time in their lives! Veterinary treatment is our biggest outgoing.
Charity founder Helen Sinclair and Patron Jack Douglas are seen here with four rescued animals. "Benjamin" had had five homes before coming into the Charity's care. "Katie" kitten was unwanted, "Herbie" hedgehog was injured and his wounds were fly blown, and "Sammy" seagull was picked up too weak to fly (or peck)! The first two were homed with responsible owners and are now much loved pets, and the latter were nursed back to health and then released.
