Whiskas has led the way with feline care and lifestage products, through extensive research the experts at Whiskas have realised what cats of different lifestages require from their daily diet to stay in tip-top condition.

Since the launch of Whiskas Kitten in 1980, Whiskas has continued the development of a range of balanced and highly nutritious products for senior cats, aged eight years and above.

Whiskas launched the first canned Senior range in 1997 offering owners a choice of products to provide a balanced diet full of the nutrients and antioxidants a senior cat needs to maintain healthy bones, teeth and a shiny coat. Since then the popularity of lifestage products has boomed. The Whiskas lifestage ranges are available in easy to serve pouches in a variety of flavours.

Three-out-of-ten cat owners purchased senior lifestage products in the last year with the value share of the cat senior lifestage market growing by 3.2 percent, Whiskas Senior now attracts 700,000 more cat owners than its nearest competitor.

The Whiskas brand was originally launched in 1958, with just one canned 'original' variety and since the launch of Kitten in 1980, the vast range of lifestage products it offers cat owners includes:

  • Over 30 variations of the Whiskas Adult Pouch.
  • 11 varieties of Whiskas Kitten food.
  • 11 varieties of Whiskas Senior food.
  • 5 varieties of Whiskas Dry food.
  • 7 varieties of Whiskas snacks and treats.

Whiskas is owned by Masterfoods, the UK's biggest pet food manufacturer and market leader.
