Cat Killed By Dogs In Cruelty Case (With Photos) By: Andrew Gant - The Northwest Florida Daily News, FL Fort Walton Beach — A man used a cat to taunt two dogs before he let the dogs loose to kill it, lawmen say. The cat is dead, and the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is calling the case an active animal cruelty investigation. A small grey and white cat was found dead in the parking lot of Bruner Middle School on the 25th of April, according to the Sheriff's Office. Deputies watched video surveillance of the lot from that midnight and saw an SUV pull in. A male got out holding the cat, then let two dogs out of the back of the SUV. He taunted the dogs with the cat before letting them chase and kill it, they said. Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information about two people — a male and a female — captured on the video. They were driving a dark-coloured, late-model (possibly 2006) GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Tahoe with chrome wheels, a sun roof and courtesy lights on the outside mirrors. Anyone with information about this incident may contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-609-2000, Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) at 850-243-1525 or may possibly become eligible for a cash reward by calling Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-8477, or toll-free at 888-654-TIPS.
