A pair of abandoned cats found new owners thanks to the first re-homing event of the year held by Peterborough Cats Protection. The charity held the event on Saturday, the 28th of January, in St B's Hall, in Main Street, Yaxley. A spokeswoman for Peterborough Cats Protection said: "Two cats found new homes at the event, so we are really pleased about that." "Another was homed at the weekend after he was seen on the website, which was great." The charity has a waiting list of cats to take into their branch in Yaxley and events like this help them create much-needed space. The spokeswoman added: "We still have around 40 cats on the waiting list to come into the care of the branch." "If people want to see the cats that still need homes, they can go to the website." Pam McNicol, branch co-ordinator, added: "We have cats of all shapes and sizes in the care of the branch, so if you are looking to adopt, we may well have the perfect pet for you."
